What does it take to get someone off Skid Row for good?

Like many people experiencing homelessness, our guests often ask themselves, “What will happen to me when I leave here?” Without a job, it’s very likely that they’ll up right back where they started… on Skid Row, addicted to drugs or alcohol, or living without hope.

URM’s Employment Program offers precious men and women the skills, encouragement and connections they need to become self-sufficient and break the cycle of poverty. Last year alone, more than 100 men and women in our program found full-time jobs, thanks to you.

Kimjoy, a Hope Gardens Family Center resident, started a new job the day after graduating with an Associate’s degree. Today she is working toward becoming a Licensed Clinical SocialWorker. “I have more years of amazing stuff ahead!” she says.

There’s “amazing stuff ahead” for every guest in our Employment Program.

Your online gift today will help provide training and classes, help with resumes and interviews, professional clothing, job referrals, employment opportunities and mentoring from the local business community.

This year, let’s help even more precious men and women get off Skid Row for good!
