125 YEARS WELCOMING PEOPLE INTO OUR HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS AT UNION RESCUE MISSION
LOS ANGELES CALIF. (November, 2016) —- Union Rescue Mission For the first time in our 125 year history, women and children outnumber men in our building by more than 200! There are twice as many single women at Union Rescue Mission as last year. We have more families than during the Great Recession when our resources were pushed to the limit. Union Rescue Mission CEO, Rev. Andy Bales said, “We are so thankful to you and honored that we can enable families and individuals to be in our home for this Thanksgiving when the needs are so great.”
We would like to include a special thank you to the United Talent Agency, Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, Morongo Band of Mission Indians, Marc Mills,Chef Merito, Herbalife, cast and crew of The Bold & the Beautiful, and to the Los Angeles Galaxy team who will help host our KIDZONE! Surprise celebrity guests are expected!!!
Media Note: Media Live Shot Opportunity starts Friday, November 18th at 8:00 a.m. through midnight for visual of 500turkeys flavored by CHEF MERITO being deep fried in front of URM’s loading dock in preparation to be served to the thousands of men, women and families experiencing homelessness on Skid Row.
Thanksgiving Celebration activities will get underway promptly at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 19,
