Andy Bales' End of Month Update - February 2023

I want to give you an end-of-February update from Hope Gardens.

This February has been historically cold and wet, which has resulted in overwhelming numbers of people in need. But amidst the challenges, there have been heartwarming stories of hope and love. Our program participants went above and beyond to give special Valentine’s treats to our kids, making it a happy day for children who may be going through the toughest time in their lives.

At Hope Gardens, we had another spectacular graduation ceremony for our moms who have overcome brokenness, domestic abuse, addiction, and life on the streets. These women have transformed their lives and are now going to school and college, ready to graduate. Hearing their stories of transformation is truly uplifting, and my favorite part is when moms are able to give their children a brand new life at Hope Gardens.

Despite the inspiring moments, the cold weather has also brought with it an overwhelming number of people in need. As I mentioned in my last update, we’ve been receiving an unprecedented number of calls from those seeking help. Since being on Telemundo and Fox News, I’ve received 59 calls from people in need, and the number continues to grow. Even during our graduation ceremony, I had to take a call to rescue someone from the cold.

Thanks to you, our partners, we’ve been able to say “yes” to everyone who needs our help. We’ve been up to capacity, but we’re doing everything we can to accommodate those in need. We’ve even had churches calling us to send people our way, and we always say “yes.” Your support has made it possible for us to never say “no” to anyone who needs our help.

I want to thank you for your continued support. Your generosity has made it possible for us to help those who are experiencing homelessness and provide them with hope and a path to a better life.

We could not do this life-saving life-changing work without you.

God Bless You and Thank You.

Best regards,

Andy Bales
