Every day at Union Rescue Mission, precious men, women, children, and families come in right off the streets, often with very little hope.
We made a promise to never turn away a single woman or family with children. Because we know what so many have been through or may go through. Skid Row is no place for anyone to live. The conditions today are worse than they’ve ever been.
Union Rescue Mission is committed to being the one place people can go to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
We continue to serve hundreds of men and women each day. And this month, we'll be completing construction of a Sprung structure in our back parking lot that will provide shelter for 120 more women. Finally, we are underway on opening 15 additional units for families at Hope Gardens.
This work is critical to saving and transforming broken lives in our community. We simply can’t slow down now!
Please give generously by June 30 to ensure our critical work can continue!
As we close our fiscal year, Union Rescue Mission is unfortunately facing some unexpected budget challenges.
A $2 million bequest we expected to come through for this year has now moved to next year. Also, a foundation that has generously donated $500,000 to Union Rescue Mission for the past 25 years has let us know they will be unable to make their donation this year.
We had counted on these funds to keep us running at full strength. Now we must call on all of our friends to help with this emergency.
Will you give your most generous gift today?
Your gift will help us continue to serve those in greatest need. Thank you in advance for your consideration!
